Wire Harness Materials & Components
Cablum reviews wire harness connectors, terminals, seals, wire, cable, sleeving and protection materials against customer drawings and BOM requirements. Original-brand or approved alternative components are considered according to the customer-approved part number, availability, traceability and validation requirements.
Wire Harness Connector Options
Connector series, terminals, seals and tooling requirements are confirmed from the drawing, approved part number and project specification before production.

Wire & Cable Selection
Wire and cable options are reviewed for conductor size, insulation, temperature, voltage, flexibility, shielding and environmental requirements. Applicable approvals are confirmed by manufacturer part number and project specification.
- PVC Hook-up Wire: General equipment wiring where specified
- Teflon / PTFE: Higher-temperature or chemical-resistance requirements
- Silicone: Flexible routing and temperature requirements
- Ribbon Cable: IDC flat cables for electronics
- Shielded Cable: Multi-core shielded for signal integrity
Component Selection Starts With Controlled Requirements
A connector name or material family alone is not enough to release a build. The drawing and BOM should define the approved manufacturer, part number, wire specification, applicable documentation and any permitted substitution process.
Our team can review these inputs during engineering and prototyping, then align incoming and production checks with the agreed quality-testing scope.

Specified Components
Where the BOM specifies a manufacturer and part number, purchasing and production follow the customer-approved requirement and agreed traceability scope.
- ✔ Approved manufacturer and part number
- ✔ Lot or supplier documentation where required
- ✔ Incoming verification against purchase requirements
Approved Alternative Components
Alternative connectors or materials are considered only when permitted by the customer. Fit, interface, material and performance requirements should be reviewed before approval.
- ✔ No substitution without customer approval
- ✔ Compatibility and validation requirements documented
- ✔ Availability and cost reviewed project by project
