Cablum can provide wire samples for customer evaluation and build small prototype quantities subject to component availability, tooling needs and project complexity.

The typical prototype lead time is 7–10 days after technical details and materials are confirmed. This is not a universal guarantee and does not automatically include new tooling.

Planning a harness prototype

Can Cablum create a drawing from my sketch or sample?

Cablum can review a sketch, sample, pinout or existing document and prepare a 2D wire harness drawing for confirmation. We do not present this service as general 3D-CAD modeling.

Can you provide wire samples before prototype production?

Yes. Wire samples can be supplied to help confirm construction, size, color or other relevant requirements before the harness build.

How long does wire harness prototyping take?

Typical prototype lead time is 7–10 days after technical details and materials are confirmed. Component availability, tooling and validation requirements may affect the schedule.

How quickly will I receive engineering feedback?

Initial engineering feedback is typically provided within 3 business days after the necessary technical information is received. Complex projects may take longer.

Are cutting, stripping and crimping performed in-house?

Yes. Wire cutting, stripping and terminal crimping are completed in Cablum's Shenzhen factory.

Do you accept single-piece or small prototype orders?

Small prototype quantities, including single-piece requests, can be evaluated case by case based on component availability, setup, tooling and project complexity.

Does every prototype include a formal FAI report?

No. Formal FAI reports are not promised. Applicable inspection and test records can be provided according to the scope agreed during quotation.
