CUSTOM TRUCK CABLES · BUILT TO DRAWING
Custom Truck Wiring Harnesses for OEM Projects
Cablum manufactures custom truck wiring harnesses to customer drawings, specified wire and connector requirements. We have experience processing truck harness projects, including cutting, termination and assembly to the agreed configuration.
Send your harness drawing, connection table and component list for review. We will assess the assembly scope and confirm sourcing, inspection and quotation requirements for your project.
Custom assemblies—not a catalogue of vehicle-specific replacement harnesses. Vehicle compatibility must be defined and approved for each project.

DEFINE THE ASSEMBLY
One Truck Project Can Need Several Harness Configurations
Specify the assembly by its endpoints and installation location, rather than only by the vehicle name. The following are configuration examples for project review, not a claim of approval for a particular truck model.
Point-to-point cables
A cable linking two customer-defined interfaces. Identify both mating parts, connector orientation, wire specification and finished length.
Branched harnesses
An assembly serving several interfaces. Define each branch, breakout location and endpoint so similar-looking connectors cannot be confused.
Auxiliary equipment connections
Harnesses connecting customer-specified truck equipment or body-mounted devices. Provide the equipment interface and circuit requirements for review.
For broader vehicle project support, visit our automotive wire harness page. For diagnostic interfaces, see custom OBD-II cables.

INTERFACE & ROUTING REVIEW
Make Every Branch and Connection Unambiguous
A truck harness drawing should show where each branch starts, which interface it reaches and how its length is measured. A flat drawing alone may not communicate the installed route or the connector exit direction.
Include mating-face views, connector keys, terminal positions, branch identifiers and mounting references. If a routing sketch is supplied, distinguish the intended route from the finished harness dimensions.
Cablum assembles to the customer-approved definition. Vehicle integration, circuit design and installation suitability remain project-specific approval items.
Connector identity
List manufacturer and part number for housings, terminals, seals and any required locks. Mark mandatory components and permitted alternatives separately.
Branch references
Define measurement datums, tolerances and branch labels. Identify left/right or equipment variants with separate part numbers or controlled options.
Protection details
Specify sleeve, conduit, heat-shrink, tape and fixing locations where required. State any environmental acceptance requirements for review.
PROJECT INPUTS
What to Send for a Custom Truck Cable Quotation
| Input | Information needed | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Drawing and revision | Harness part number, overall layout, branch lengths, tolerances and current revision | Establishes one controlled build configuration. |
| Connection table | Connector identifiers, cavity numbers, wire identities and any splice connections | Defines the required connections and prevents orientation assumptions. |
| Wire and component list | Wire type and size, connectors, terminals, protection and labels | Allows material availability and processing requirements to be reviewed. |
| Installation conditions | Installation zone and any specified temperature, fluid, vibration, abrasion or sealing requirements | Identifies requirements that need suitable components and an agreed validation basis. |
| Inspection requirements | Required checks, acceptance criteria, sample approval and records | Clarifies what the quotation and acceptance process must cover. |
| Order plan | Sample quantity, initial batch, expected variants and target timing | Supports a project-specific sourcing and production review. |
Need help organizing the files? Use our pinout table guide and BOM requirements guide. Do not infer a current rating or environmental rating from the appearance of an assembly.
FROM DEFINITION TO ASSEMBLY
Review the Build Before Committing to Production
1. Confirm the specification
Resolve drawing, connection and component questions. Identify any proposed substitutions for customer approval before use.
2. Agree the sample basis
Define the sample configuration and what must be checked before production approval. Record any agreed drawing or BOM changes.
3. Build to the approved revision
Cut, terminate and assemble the harness to the approved requirements, with the inspection scope and documentation agreed for the order.
Continuity, dimensional checks and other electrical or mechanical tests must be defined by project. Special testing, third-party validation and documentation availability require confirmation; no universal test package is implied. See quality testing capabilities.
Custom Truck Wiring Harness Questions
Can you work with our specified wire and connectors?
Yes. Cablum can process custom truck harnesses to customer drawings and specified wire and connector requirements. Supply the exact component details so availability and processing compatibility can be reviewed.
Can you identify a replacement harness from a truck model?
This page is for custom manufacturing, not a model-based replacement parts catalogue. Send the harness definition and interface requirements. We do not claim compatibility from the vehicle name alone.
Are the assemblies automatically waterproof or vibration-rated?
No. Such performance depends on the specified components, construction and validation requirements. Tell us the required acceptance criteria; the applicable scope must be reviewed and agreed for your project.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
These depend on the configuration, component purchasing requirements, order quantity and available capacity. Send your drawing and batch requirements for a project-specific quotation; no fixed MOQ or delivery time is promised here.
Can a branched harness include several connector types?
A mixed-interface design can be submitted for review. Identify each connector, pin assignment and branch length in the approved documentation. See our multi-branch harness page for the related assembly scope.
Send Your Truck Harness Drawing
Share the current drawing, connection table, BOM and required quantity. Tell us which interfaces are mandatory and what your sample approval must establish. Cablum will review the custom assembly requirements before confirming the quotation.
